Job Title

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Theoretical Physics

Research Project

You will join the research project "A truncated particle", financed by the Research Council of Norway (2025-2029), at the Section for Theoretical Physics, Department of Physics. This project focuses on the effects of localized, causal interactions on particle states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a framework for describing experiments where the information transfer is manifestly causal
  • Contribute to cutting-edge research in theoretical physics
  • Work towards a better understanding of locally equivalent states in quantum field theory
  • Collaborate with local master and PhD-students

Qualifications

  • Strong research background in quantum electro-dynamics and quantum optics
  • Experience from causality, local measurements and localized states in quantum optics and quantum field theory
  • Good command of English
  • Experience from Mathematica and Python
