We are looking for an experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Translational Research Unit. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of preclinical solutions in cancer immunotherapy, with a focus on T cell culture and modification.

The Section for Cellular Therapy has a strong reputation for innovation and collaboration, with a talented team of researchers and clinicians working together to advance the field of cellular therapy. Our unit has the capacity to run full preclinical validations of TCR and CAR molecules, and we have established two biotech companies based on our discoveries.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in T-cell immunology/immunotherapy and documented experience with primary T cell culture, melanoma, and immune checkpoint molecules. You should also be proficient in advanced flow cytometry and FACS-based sorting, cytokine measurements by ELISPOT and/or ELISA, human T-cell cloning, cytotoxicity assays, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preclinical studies in cancer immunotherapy, with a focus on T cell culture and modification. This will involve working closely with the team to design and implement experimental protocols, collect and analyze data, and prepare scientific reports and publications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preclinical studies in cancer immunotherapy, with a focus on T cell culture and modification
  • Design and implement experimental protocols, including optimizing T cell culture conditions, modifying T cells using CRISPR-Cas9, and evaluating the efficacy of T cell therapies in vitro and in vivo
  • Analyze data and prepare scientific reports and publications, including writing manuscripts, preparing figures and tables, and presenting results to the team and at conferences
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement new technologies and methods for T cell culture and modification
