Safety-Critical Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Product Development Specialist to join our team at TechnipFMC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in the development of safety-related control system products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety-related product requirements in accordance with IEC 61508 compliant and TUV approved Functional Safety Management plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met and designs are compliant with safety standards.
- Analyze system architectures and identify safety requirements to ensure the development of safe and reliable products.
- Participate in product safety analysis, including FMEA, FMEDA, and FMECA, to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as API 17A and 17F, throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and execute validation and verification plans to ensure product safety and reliability.
- Perform design reviews and provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
- Experience in functional safety development and certification activities.
- Familiarity with control system designs and operational aspects.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools, such as Polarion, Jama, or IBM Doors.
- Certified practitioner in the application of IEC 61508.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about control system product development and safety engineering.
- Drive, tenacity, and positive attitude to innovation and new experiences.
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
