About the Position

This PhD position is available at the Department of Chemistry, Universitetet i Oslo. As a PhD Research Fellow, you will work independently as well as in a cross-disciplinary team, contributing to high-impact publications and conferences.

The fellowship period is 3 years, with the possibility of a fourth year with a reduced workload. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, as well as opportunities for international secondments and collaborations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and preparation of model systems for studying AMP-membrane interactions.
  • Performance of scattering experiments at major facilities and home X-ray/light scattering labs.
  • Contribution to simulations and quantitative data modelling.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or similar fields.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross-disciplinary team.
