We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of PhD Research Fellow in Nutrition Informatics. This exciting opportunity involves working with our research team to develop innovative data pipelines and insights that can contribute to a dynamic nutritional map of Norway.
The position requires identifying and exploiting existing data sources, such as those from registries and national surveys, and enhancing the evidence base in Public Health Nutrition through secondary use. We aim to identify information gaps and novel opportunities for quasi-experimental studies that can efficiently and effectively evaluate population-based nutritional interventions and policy.
Responsibilities- Developing data pipelines and code to process, link, and transform data into analytical insights
- Collaborating with the research team to design and implement novel study designs for better scientific inference
- Contributing to the development of tools and approaches for data processing and insights
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in a subject with a substantial component of computer science, data science or statistics, or any other numerate subject
- Excellent English communication skills both orally and in writing
- Experience of manipulating and processing large datasets using a high-level programming language such as R or Python
- An awareness of epidemiological study design
- A basic understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics
