Power Trader

We are seeking an experienced Power Trader to join our EMEA trading desk in the Nordics region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing trading strategies to deliver optimal trading results and mitigate imbalance costs.

• Developing and implementing trading strategies to deliver optimal trading results and mitigate imbalance costs
• Proactively managing Nordic portfolios and optimizing positions through trade execution
• Staying up-to-date with all market developments that can have a direct impact on our business
• Analyzing load data, power consumption, and production, as well as price feeds and weather conditions to inform trading decisions
• Conducting in-house analysis and stack modeling to support trading decisions
• Growing the business by pricing non-standard profiles
• Taking ownership of fixed imbalance pricing for end-users
• Working closely with intra-day traders to deliver optimal performance and contribute positively to PnL
• Owning, managing, and reporting Spot trading PnL in a timely manner
• Establishing and maintaining automatic processes to ensure smooth transitions from forecast to trading, allowing for last-minute changes to forecast
• Collaborating with Key Account Managers from inception to completion on new sales opportunities
• Liaising with Middle/Back Office on all post-execution processes (P&L/risk/position breaks/commercial v accounting P&L breaks)
• Working with scheduling teams to ensure no transactions are missed or mis-nominated during the balancing process with TSOs
• Collaborating with Market Risk on ad-hoc analysis and back-testing, taking into account immediate and long-term commercial activities and development of the business
