Project Overview:
The International Society for Bayesian Analysis invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral research position in biostatistics. The project focuses on scalable statistical methods for the integration and analysis of multi-omic data sources.
Objective:
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of horizontal (multi-omic) and vertical (meta-analytic) integrative Bayesian clustering methods with intended application to disease subtyping and signature/biomarker discovery.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable statistical methods for multi-omic data integration
- Develop and apply integrative Bayesian clustering methods for disease subtyping and biomarker discovery
- Collaborate with researchers in statistics, mathematics, and computer science to advance the field of biostatistics
Requirements:
- PhD degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science or related disciplines
- Documented competence in statistics, biostatistics or mathematics
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a research team
- Good communication and programming skills
