Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating quotes for Flow Measurement Products within the Measurement Solutions business. This includes reviewing customer specifications, issuing RFQs to procurement for cost, preparing proposals, and coordinating through till delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer RFQ specifications to understand technical requests and parameters
- Provide value-engineered application-based solutions to meet customer needs
- Develop specifications for buyout items and obtain competitive quotes from third-party vendors
- Consolidate cost-effective solutions
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals
- Attend clarification meetings with clients as required
- Ensure tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have necessary sign-off
- Coordinate with salespersons responsible for specific customers/inquiries
- Familiarize yourself with risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role
- Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation
- Process and enter Purchase Orders into approved systems
- Pursue Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) for all activities
- Maximize inter-business unit collaboration and lead effective overall coordination
- Maintain a library of application-based templates for budgetary bids
- Organize technical and commercial quote structures based on customer RFQ expectations
- Participate in and actively support company initiatives
- Collaborate with product management to provide knowledge and input from experience with customers
