Job Overview:

As a Lead Cloud Backend Developer, you will collaborate with our cloud team on Pixotope's cutting-edge licensing and software distribution platform, Pixotope Cloud, hosted on Amazon Web Services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate Pixotope Cloud with existing solutions such as HubSpot and Zendesk.
  • Ensure a unified 'Source of Truth' for our operations by leveraging available APIs and functionalities.
  • Collaborate with solution partners to implement and maintain these integrations.
  • Engage in both backend and frontend tasks, utilizing Javascript/Typescript, Java or Rust as needed.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields.
  2. 5+ years of development experience.
  3. 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud technology (e.g. ECS, ECR, EC2, S3, EKS, CloudFormation).
  4. Proficiency in modern programming languages and technologies.
  5. Strong Git or version control skills.
  6. Ability to debug, problem-solve, and test code.
  7. Fluent communication in English.
  8. API development and Docker/containerization expertise.
  9. Hands-on experience with scalable, distributed cloud systems.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with Swift.
  2. Familiarity with infrastructure automation (Terraform).
  3. Knowledge of distributed system monitoring tools (ELK, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus).
  4. Experience integrating business systems.
