Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Package Responsible Engineer for lifting equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, procuring, and delivering various lifting and material handling equipment packages, including Offshore/Onshore Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Winches, and Off-loading systems for offshore wind, oil and gas, and renewable projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the layout discipline to participate in material handling studies
* Conduct design studies, technology qualification, selection, and assessments for lifting handling equipment
* Prepare and distribute equipment specifications and datasheets; perform technical evaluations of supplier quotations
* Act as the technical point of contact with suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines
* Conduct inspections and testing at supplier workshops; ensure timely delivery of equipment and documentation
* Oversee the installation and testing of equipment at the yard/offshore; evaluate and respond to technical queries
* Review and approve supplier documentation; contribute to technical data registers
* Ensure supplier compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Higher education (BSc or MSc), long relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education
* Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in design/delivery of lifting equipment
* Experienced with multidisciplinary engineering in Crane Suppliers or EPC Contractors
* Familiar with relevant local and international codes and standards such as NORSOK, EN, Norwegian acts and regulations
* Proficiency with 3D CAD software
* Fluent in written and oral English, Norwegian is an advantage
* Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Innovative, systematic, and proactive; committed to improving methods with digital tools and meeting deadlines with high quality
