At Sony Europe Development Centre in Oslo, we strive to maintain a global lead in imaging by developing innovative CMOS image sensors for automotive products and industry.

We are seeking a highly experienced Physical Implementation Engineer to take ownership of the digital logic implementation in our CMOS image sensors. You will work with full synthesis, place and routing, and verification of digital logic using industry-standard EDA tools.

Your responsibilities will include floorplan preparation, multiple power domain implementation, and optimization, as well as test implementation, timing analysis, and signal integrity analysis.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and multi-cultural teams in both Europe and Japan to ensure the successful development of our CMOS image sensors.

To be successful in this role, you will need extensive experience in electronic semiconductor layout implementation, preferably in CMOS image sensors, as well as fluency in English and proven ability to work with remote teams.

The successful candidate will have a PhD/MSc or equivalent experience in Engineering or Physics, and a strong understanding of electronic design automation tools.
