SBM Offshore is seeking a skilled Commissioning Fire and Gas Superintendent to lead our construction discipline team.

This role is responsible for ensuring that our construction scope of work is executed in compliance with project HSSE, Quality, and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership to ensure that the HSSE plan is understood and implemented by assigned supervisors.
  • Ensuring that the Quality Plan is understood and implemented by assigned supervisors and inspectors.
  • Leading the site Quality verification team for the construction discipline.
  • Ensuring Mechanical Completion (A-Scope) milestones are met.
  • Monitoring yard productivity and manpower assignment.
  • Reviewing and approving yard construction procedures.
  • Ensuring the Inspections and Test Plan is followed.
  • Maintaining up-to-date as-built dossier.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor's or College Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil and Gas industry with proven track record in handling industrial automation projects as technical lead.
  • Familiarity with working across engineering disciplines in an EPC environment.
  • Experience in structure fabrication, assembly, and erection.
  • Qualification in welding.
  • Qualification in NDE.
  • Working knowledge in rigging and Heavy Lifting.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management processes.
  • Understanding of Regulatory and classification society requirements.
