Helse Sør-øst RHF seeks a highly skilled Database Analyst/Special Engineer to join our research team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database (PLSD).

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing curation and data analysis in the PLSD, which is an international, multicentre, prospective, and observational study. The study aims to provide age and organ-specific cancer risks according to gene and gender, estimates of survival after cancer, and information on the effects of interventions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to share insights and findings.
  • Develop and deliver detailed reports and presentations on data analysis results.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in relational databases.
  • Programming skills.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database management tools.
  • Experience in handling large datasets, particularly in the context of clinical data.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with statistical and stochastic modeling.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Interest in scientific publication.
