Job Summary

Techconsult AS is seeking a highly skilled HVAC System Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC systems for complex offshore installations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop HVAC systems for complex offshore installations, including platforms, FPSOs, and other related structures.
  2. Perform detailed HVAC system calculations to ensure optimal system performance.
  3. Develop HVAC instruments and flow diagrams to support system design.
  4. Utilize and develop database/design tools to streamline system design and development.
  5. Collaborate with project team members, subcontractors, and client personnel to ensure successful project execution.
  6. Participate in Front End studies, system design, and equipment procurement during the EPCi phase.
  7. Design equipment and develop procurement packages in close cooperation with suppliers.
  8. Coordinate across multiple disciplines within the project team to ensure seamless project execution.
  9. Lead procurement packages and ensure proper follow-up with suppliers.
  10. Develop installation methods and participate in testing and equipment installation.
  11. Ensure quality input and control technical data and job preparation.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
  2. In-depth knowledge of applicable Norwegian regulations and standards.
  3. Familiarity with equipment such as air handling units, ducting, water cooling systems, heating systems, DX units, or sanitary/utility systems.
  4. Strong skills in relevant calculations and/or 3D modeling.
  5. Experience in evaluating, specifying, and technically overseeing cooling/refrigeration and ventilation systems.
  6. Strong command of both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
  7. Solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  8. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  9. Proficiency in Mips and Time. Familiarity with Autocad, Microstation, and E3D/PDMS is advantageous.
  10. Ability to work independently and meticulously, as well as collaboratively within a team.
