Drive the strategic direction of the Risk Modelling team at Statkraft.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage and develop our team of quantitative risk analysts. As part of the Risk department in Market Operations, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining risk models that support our business growth strategy.

You will be responsible for leading a team of eight analysts across multiple offices, enhancing risk models for the liquid time horizon, and introducing big data science methods to the energy risk toolkit.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead a team of eight quantitative risk analysts.
  • Enhance risk models for the liquid time horizon.
  • Maintain and enhance forward curve tools and methodology.
  • Align new tool development with key stakeholders.
  • Introduce big data science methods to the energy risk toolkit.
  • Support large complex commodity transactions valuation.
Requirements:
  • Outstanding university degree in a quantitative field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial risk management.
  • Strong commercial mindset and some Front Office experience desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge in quantitative finance and risk.
  • First experience as a team lead in a quantitative field.
  • Significant IT knowledge coupled with strong programming skills preferably in Python.
