We are seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join our team at energy-as in Bergen.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials technology and experience working on oil and gas projects. As a Materials Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating optimal material choices for pipes, valves, and equipment, monitoring procurement packages and supplier performance, and providing advice and assessment on materials and corrosion-related damage mechanisms.
- This role includes responsibility for material discipline within the project, requiring strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards such as PTIL, NORSOK, and API standards.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed efficiently and effectively.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Technology or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including experience with maintenance and modification work.
