Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Laboratory Engineer to oversee the processing of Thorium-228 (Th) and Lead-212 (Pb) active substance ingredients. This laboratory-based role requires strict adherence to safety and radiation protection guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute, develop, and optimize the handling, processing, and loading of Thorium-228 within a controlled laboratory environment.
  • Operate within a glove box or hot cell to handle radioactive materials safely.
  • Develop and strictly adhere to radioprotection and safety regulations in all procedures/protocols in handling Thorium-228 and daughters.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with internal standards and maintain stable production.
  • Oversee the generator's functioning in both preclinical and clinical settings.
  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for optimization or corrective actions.
  • Work closely with engineers and scientists to enact process enhancements.
  • Report findings to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Radiochemistry, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in radioactive material handling, laboratory operations, or nuclear medicine is highly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of radioactivity and nuclear material safety.
  • Hands-on experience with glove box operations.
  • Strong knowledge of and strict adherence to safety protocols and radioprotection regulations.
  • Ability to work with analytical and processing equipment in a controlled environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication.
