We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Incident Responder to join our team in Stavanger, Oslo, or Bergen.
This role will be part of the Cyber Defense Center, responsible for detecting and responding to cyber threats to on-prem systems, cloud, and IACS.
The successful candidate will have end-to-end responsibility for cyber incident response across Equinor, with a strong focus on analysis, mitigation, and prevention.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a structured, curious, analytical, and knowledge-seeking mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Work in the Cyber Defense Center, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to detect and respond to cyber threats.
- Drive the evolution of technical response, analysis, and forensic capabilities to investigate and mitigate cyber security incidents.
- Research attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and translate this knowledge into response plans, playbooks, and procedures.
- Engage with Equinor's Emergency Response Organisation and other stakeholders when handling incidents and developing exercise/training plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related fields, with relevant working experience a plus.
- Experience working within a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) or Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) is desirable.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Structured, curious, analytical, and knowledge-seeking mindset.
- Familiarity with Cyber Threat Intelligence and emergency response is an advantage.
