Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior E3D Piping & Layout Designer to join our team at Techconsult AS. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and creating 3D models for piping systems, coordinating and managing tasks related to piping, and developing area layouts and 3D models for equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Piping System Design
    • Design and create 3D models for piping systems, ensuring efficient handling of interfaces with other disciplines.
    • Estimate activities involved in piping and participate in offshore surveys as necessary for project requirements.
  • Project Coordination
    • Coordinate and manage all tasks related to piping within a specific project segment.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Equipment Design
    • Develop area layouts and 3D models for equipment, ensuring clash-free designs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of piping systems.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Possession of an MSc, BSc, Technical College degree, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience
    • Prior experience in modification projects within the offshore industry, preferably in the North Sea region.
    • Proficiency in conducting site surveys, routing pipes through existing areas, and identifying tie-in positions.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of E3D software, general computer technology, and piping design.
    • Interest and competence in managing other engineers would be advantageous.
    • Familiarity with governing regulations and standards such as ASME, NORSOK, etc.
