About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Engineering Manager to join our team at NOV Inc. This is a critical role within our Project Management Team, and as the right-hand person to the Tender/Project Manager, you will be accountable for all technical aspects of the project.
As a Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing the engineering work for dedicated projects, including technical areas such as Process, Electrical, Instrument & Control, Telecoms, Mechanical, Piping-Layout, 3D modeling, and Structure. You will work with a team of 40-100+ people across disciplines, and project budgets may range from 30M to 100MUSD+.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and guidance to the project team to meet NOV and client expectations, aims, and goals.
- Plan and execute engineering work for dedicated projects, including technical areas such as Process, Electrical, Instrument & Control, Telecoms, Mechanical, Piping-Layout, 3D modeling, and Structure.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other members of the Engineering Management Group and departments within NOV, such as BD, sales, and Life Cycle Services.
- Maximize tender winning chances by working with BD&S, technology team, procurement, engineering, and management to optimize technical tender solutions and concepts.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years' experience in a similar role or level of responsibility managing multidiscipline engineering teams in EPC projects.
- Strong familiarity with the interfaces between engineering, procurement, and fabrication of process/utility/topside modules and skids that consist of rotating & static equipment, piping, valves, instrumentation, and ancillary equipment.
- Ability to manage the technical side of a project, solve detailed engineering problems, and make informed decisions in changing and uncertain situations.
- Good commercial understanding and ability to identify priorities and key activities to meet both technical and commercial milestones.
