Job Title: QC Laboratory Assistant

Kappa Bioscience is a leading manufacturer of high-quality ingredients for the nutritional supplement industry. We are seeking a highly skilled QC Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our laboratory team in ensuring the quality of our products by conducting chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience in analytical chemistry and a strong understanding of quality control procedures. You will work closely with our production team to identify and resolve any material or process-related issues that may impact product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the laboratory team in conducting chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to determine adherence to prescribed specifications.

• Record all results following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methods.

• Notify appropriate production personnel of any material failing to meet specification or testing outside prescribed action limits/target values.

• Prepare, standardize, and label/document laboratory reagents according to written procedures.

• Ensure all analytical glassware is clean and defect-free, and equipment is within calibration and deemed suitable for use.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Vocational education as a Laboratory Technician (Faglaborant) with a minimum of one year experience in analytical chemistry.

• At least three years' experience in an analytical laboratory or related process laboratory.

• Experience with HPLC and Wet Chemistry analyses is essential.

• A solid grasp of specific production processes used in our company (chemical synthesis) is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
