Job Title: Analytical Research Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analytical Research Team Lead to lead and manage our analytical research activities. This is a unique opportunity to work at a modern laboratory with a wide variety of analyses, driving innovation while fostering a productive, efficient, and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers, providing analytical services, technical support, and documentation. Support the Marketing/Sales teams with product quality documentation and customer inquiries.
  • Plan and prioritize laboratory activities by coordinating resources, personnel, and equipment to optimize productivity and minimize downtime. Develop and implement efficient laboratory workflows to ensure timely completion of analytical tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Actively participate in day-to-day laboratory operations and perform hands-on analysis of samples using advanced analytical instruments, such as HPLC, IR, and other laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Track and report key performance metrics related to laboratory efficiency, accuracy, and throughput to drive continuous improvement. Monitor and analyze productivity indexes to ensure optimal resource utilization and to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Oversee laboratory premises management and preventive maintenance programs. Schedule and oversee the maintenance, calibration, and optimization of the laboratory's instrument park to ensure maximum data integrity and reliable performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practices, including ISO 17025 and quality management systems.
  • Drive improvements in analytical methodologies and validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe working environment and promoting best practices in laboratory safety protocols.
Candidate Profile:
  • Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical/laboratory management role, preferably in the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries, with direct people and project leadership experience.
  • Proven experience with laboratory instrumentation, especially HPLC, and familiarity with ISO 17025.
  • Focus on analytical expertise in organic chemistry.
  • Experience in GMP environments is desirable.
  • Strong technical writing skills and experience creating SOPs.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
