For a renowned network of kindergartens, we are seeking dedicated and passionate candidates for the position of Kindergarten Teacher in Norway. We require experienced and compassionate educators who can make a difference in the lives of young children.

  • Knowledge of Norwegian or Scandinavian language at A2/B1 level is required.
  • A degree in early childhood education or a related field issued by an EEA or EFTA country is necessary.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a kindergarten setting, is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and child development is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Planning and implementing educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Providing a safe and engaging environment where children can thrive.
  • Encouraging creativity, curiosity, and social interaction among children.
  • Monitoring and supporting individual needs to help children reach their potential.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress.
  • Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and educational standards.
What We Offer:
  • A permanent position in one of Hitra's kindergartens.
  • 7.5 hours of work a day and 5 hours of planned activities per week.
  • 32,000 NOK gross allowance for the Kindergarten Teacher.
  • 5,000 – 40,000 NOK gross compensation depending on your supplementary education.
  • Assistance with finding suitable accommodation.
  • Relocation assistance in accordance with Hitra commune policy.
  • Participation in the pension and insurance scheme of Hitra commune.
  • Paid scholarship to support your supplementary education.
