Research Objective

This PhD research position centers on creating solid electrolytes for Li- and Na-ion batteries using deep learning-based models. The chosen candidate will contribute to the creation of novel materials and simulations for energy storage applications.

Project Outline

The DeepSolo project is aimed at developing, implementing, and validating novel deep-learning models for molecular dynamics and coarse-grained simulations for the characterization, design, virtual testing, and optimization of PNSEs for Li and Na-ion batteries.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in advanced battery materials and deep learning models.
  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art simulation techniques for materials research.
  • Collaborate with the research group to meet project objectives.
Necessary Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must have a Master's degree in engineering, physics, or applied mathematics. A strong academic profile, good communication skills, and experience with programming languages such as Python are essential.

The following grade requirements are a condition for employment in the position:

  • Minimum average grade B on subjects included in the master's degree.
  • Minimum grade B on the master's thesis.
Desirable Selection Criteria

It is an advantage if you have experience with machine learning models applied to material modeling, knowledge of polymer nanocomposite solid electrolytes, or proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB or C++.

Personal suitability and motivation for doctoral studies are also emphasized.
