Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our team at the University of Oslo. The successful candidate will contribute to the storage work package of the gigaCCS Center, developing excellent research and innovative approaches for carbon capture and storage.

The project focuses on providing new fault data and innovative workflows for fault seal analysis, essential for the CCS development in the North Continental Shelf. As a researcher in this field, you will work with fault data from outcrop studies, reflection seismic data, and boreholes, revisiting current fault seal integrity algorithms and contributing to their improvement using deep learning methods.

In addition to your research responsibilities, you will participate in administrative tasks and communication with partners, as well as teaching duties to enhance your academic skills. A strong research plan with expected journal publications must be developed and approved within the first months of the position.
