Public Consul

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Consular Support Specialist at the British Embassy Oslo, Consular team.

This exciting opportunity involves providing exceptional customer service to British nationals residing in and visiting Norway. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality consular assistance, support, and services, ensuring that our citizens receive the help they need in times of crisis or distress.

• Deliver high-quality consular assistance and support to British nationals in Norway, including emergency travel documents, notarial services, and other forms of support.
• Work closely with colleagues at post and the FCDO UK to ensure a joined-up approach to high-profile cases.
• Maintain a high level of preparedness to respond effectively to local crises involving British people.
• Develop and maintain a network of relationships with internal colleagues, local authorities, travel industry professionals, and the NGO sector.

The ideal candidate will have excellent language skills, with English and Norwegian C1 under the CEFR level or above/equivalent, and the ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of resilience to trauma.
