Workshop/Maintenance Technician 2 Job Description

This role involves undertaking a range of activities to ensure the effective maintenance and repair of equipment. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of our workshop team.

Main Tasks
  1. Undertake routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, adhering to company standards and quality control.
  2. Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, using problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently.
  3. Assist with the preparation of equipment for use, including setup, installation, and dismantling.
  4. Operate a forklift for equipment transportation and loading/unloading tasks, provided a valid driver's license is held.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, documenting findings to ensure strict adherence to company policies and standards.
  6. Document incidents and non-compliance occurrences according to established protocols and deadlines.
  7. Submit detailed job reports to supervisors after completing each shift.
  8. Liaise with colleagues from logistics and stores to source necessary resources and streamline task completion.
  9. Actively engage in daily stand-up meetings to discuss ongoing projects, address any concerns, and foster open communication.
  10. Participate in toolbox discussions and planning sessions when required.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by upholding regular housekeeping duties.
  12. Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and operations staff to achieve seamless collaboration and a well-coordinated workflow.
