Electrical Superintendent

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team at SBM OFFSHORE. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electrical team and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Leadership

• Provide leadership and guidance to electrical personnel, ensuring they understand project requirements and are competent to perform their tasks.
• Verify and inspect electrical installations during the construction and commissioning phase of the project.

• Supervise contractor electrical personnel, ensuring they understand project requirements and are performing to the required standard.
• Monitor contractor performance and provide feedback where necessary.

• Manage the project electrical competency assurance system, ensuring all electrical personnel are competent and authorized to work on the project.
• Participate in electrical technical interviews during the recruitment process.

• Provide support to the construction E&I superintendent and ex superintendent, ensuring the project electrical integrity assurance plan is followed.
• Verify the completion of ITRs, OTPs, Ex registers, and project documentation.

• Ensure electrical testing procedures are carried out safely and results are recorded on ITRs.
• Control the electrical permit to work and verify control of electrical isolations.

Requirements

• Appointed in writing by the company to carry out the role of responsible electrical person for the project.
• Formal assessment by the group construction electrical safety manager/delegate.
• Leadership and guidance skills.
• Electrical technical knowledge and experience.
• Ability to manage and supervise electrical personnel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
