Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Analytical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Kappa Bioscience. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with prescribed specifications.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience in analytical chemistry and a strong understanding of quality control procedures. You will work closely with our production team to identify and resolve any material or process-related issues that may impact product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to determine adherence to prescribed specifications.

  • Record all results following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methods.

  • Notify appropriate production personnel of any material failing to meet specification or testing outside prescribed action limits/target values.

  • Prepare, standardize, and label/document laboratory reagents according to written procedures.

  • Ensure all analytical glassware is clean and defect-free, and equipment is within calibration and deemed suitable for use.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Vocational education as a Laboratory Technician (Faglaborant) with a minimum of one year experience in analytical chemistry.

  • At least three years' experience in an analytical laboratory or related process laboratory.

  • Experience with HPLC and Wet Chemistry analyses is essential.

  • A solid grasp of specific production processes used in our company (chemical synthesis) is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
