Join Our Team: Body Repair Technician

We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled Body Repair Technician to join our Oslo Karihaugen team. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to delivering exceptional results in a dynamic environment.

About the Position:

  • Carry out a variety of repairs of basic to medium complexity in a timely and accurate manner, supporting teammates as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the workshop.
  • Apply a comprehensive understanding of vehicle construction, tooling, equipment, and repair processes.
  • Carry out tasks in compliance with EHS policies, adhering to manufacturer and industry guidelines.
  • Remove, install, and replace any bolt-on panels, bumpers, lamps, and conduct quality control checks for alignment.
  • Cosmetic repairs on all Tesla models in accordance with the Tesla specific repair procedures, including basic body repair processes, such as filler application and sanding down.
  • All quality control aspects of the body repair process, ensuring wet checks of all filler repairs are complete prior to senior technician sign-off.
  • Support other Bodyshop departments on an as-needed basis.
  • Accurately assess the vehicle for pre-existing damage prior to work commencing.
  • Meet daily targets set out by the production manager to guarantee the vehicle meets its completion date.
  • Operate equipment, including jigs, fixtures, and welding equipment, in accordance with defined safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Vocational certificate in body repairs/collision technician.
  • Proven experience as a Body Repair Technician in a body shop environment. Prior body repair experience on Tesla vehicles beneficial.
  • Experience working with adhesive bonding and mechanical fasteners. Industry recognized accreditation valuable.
  • Basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and standard applications like Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Clear understanding of health & safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment.
  • An excellent understanding of tools & equipment used for all body repair processes.
  • A valid driving license.
