The Role

This position plays a vital role in ensuring the excellence of our software releases, focusing on managing User Acceptance Testing for Quarterly Releases and other key deliverables. You will possess the authority to halt releases that fail to meet the required standards, consistently enhancing our quality assurance processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product and customer success teams to determine UAT test scope for each release
  • Create UAT schedules and assignments, ensuring timely progress and resolving blockers
  • Report on UAT results, highlighting areas for improvement and mitigation strategies
  • Verify test coverage requirements for released features, monitoring and reporting on post-release regressions
  • Continuous improvement of our quality assurance processes

Success Metrics

  • New feature deployments meet client expectations for end-to-end functionality, usability, and quality
  • Clients trust Cognite's platform and apps for mission-critical applications

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years leading UAT efforts
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end UAT cycles for complex software products
  • Strong grasp of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and testing methodologies
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, particularly working with Product teams and end users
  • Ability to write clear test cases and testing documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with global organizations and teams
