Lead Backend Engineer for Personalized Frontpage

Welcome to the Horizontal Personalized Frontpage team, a newly established and vital group dedicated to developing our NMP Frontpage for end users while supporting other NMP teams within our Nordic organization. As a pioneering team, we are eager to explore and innovate as we progress. We seek a lead who can guide and mentor the team in technical aspects, ensuring a significant impact on our work and creations. This role is essential in delivering a seamless user experience through expertly crafted code.

Your Responsibilities
As a Backend Lead, you will not only create high-quality code but also manage the technical backlog, identifying potential risks or obstacles alongside your team. You will serve as the primary contact for inquiries regarding the team's technical solutions. Collaboration with the Product Manager, Area Tech Lead, and other Team Tech Leads across the Nordics will be crucial. In this role, you will assist in aligning tech strategies, networking with other teams, and fostering excellent coding practices.

Who You Are
You are an experienced backend developer with several years of practical experience in backend development and possess strong leadership capabilities. You can independently guide the development of new features and enjoy engaging in discussions about code and solutions with your colleagues. You are a natural collaborator, curious by nature, inclusive, and committed to continuous learning. As a change leader and connector, you excel in facilitating discussions through effective communication skills.

  • Golang: Sets the benchmark for efficient backend development.
  • GCP: Guides the team in scalable cloud deployments.
  • Kubernetes: Essential for managing complex systems.
  • Docker: Ensures consistent application deployment quality.
  • Kafka: Leads in developing real-time, event-driven systems.
  • REST and gRPC: Provides diverse and efficient API solutions.
  • Event-driven Architecture: Directs the creation of scalable, responsive applications.
  • Frontend Knowledge: Bridges backend and frontend efforts for team synergy.
