The University of Oslo invites applications for a full-time PhD research fellow position at the Department of Psychology. The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team focusing on the ERC Advanced Grant project HOMME, studying how men's family and working lives influence their health and cognition.

As a PhD research fellow, you will develop a research agenda focusing on health effects of men's participation in the family and drivers of diversity in fertility and family experiences. You will make use of rich linkage of register data on the Norwegian population and larger health studies.

You will work closely with researchers at other institutions, especially the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, and collaborate with international project partners in Europe and North America.

Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Demography, Economics, Sociology, Health Economics, Psychology, or a relevant field with a strong academic record.
  • Admission to the PhD program at the University of Oslo is required; otherwise, a binding agreement for admission is necessary.
  • Good written and oral proficiency in English.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and causal inference methods/econometrics.
