Job Summary

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction of major components of an FPSO/FSO, including Topsides Modules, Vessel Conversion works, and Turret. This role will involve managing a team of construction personnel and ensuring that all construction aspects of the project are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement construction plans and schedules to meet project targets
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the construction team, including subcontractors and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as necessary
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure alignment with overall project objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure that all construction personnel under their authority are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project management team
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Requirements

  • University degree or technical college diploma in Engineering or Materials Science
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in construction and/or project management in the offshore industry, with particular emphasis on FPSO/FSO Floating Production vessels
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
