Job Description:
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to lead our payroll operations in Norway. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, while adhering to Norwegian labor laws and tax regulations. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related queries and support the HR team in improving payroll efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the full payroll cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  2. Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees in Norway, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Norwegian legislation.
  3. Calculate, process, and verify wages, bonuses, overtime, vacation pay, sick leave, and other compensation elements.
  4. Ensure the correct application of tax codes, deductions, and statutory contributions, including pension, social security, and unemployment insurance.
  5. Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports, including but not limited to tax returns, pension contributions, and annual summaries.
  6. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in the payroll system.
  7. Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Coordinate with the HR team on new hires, terminations, and other employee changes to ensure payroll accuracy.
  9. Stay up-to-date with changes in Norwegian payroll laws, tax regulations, and collective bargaining agreements to ensure compliance.
