Job Description
Petroleum engineers working with petrophysical support in the subsurface team are responsible for delivering key deliverables that drive operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the asset petrophysicist to provide input on well planning and contribute to cross-functional subsurface teams.
Select LWD tools for inclusion in production wells' BHAs, ensuring optimal performance.
Prepare wireline programs for exploration wells, aligning with industry standards.
Daily Activities:
Oversee operations, participate in duty rotations, and provide back-office support.
Troubleshoot tool performance issues with vendors, ensuring minimal downtime.
Provide real-time data quality control and quick-look interpretations.
Capture and share learnings, provide KPI inputs, quality control memory data, prepare final log interpretations, and conduct internal/external reporting.
Requirements:
Familiarity with modern LWD and wireline tool physics.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in petrophysics and formation evaluation studies.
Preferably offshore experience from the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Previous assignment with an Oil and Gas Operator is preferred.
Proficiency in Techlog and WTSML real-time data handling.
