About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Controller to join our team at Wilhelmsen Ship Management. As a Payroll Controller, you will be responsible for arranging monthly payroll for seafarers, tax and governmental reporting for Norwegian and non-Norwegian personnel, and ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process and reconcile payroll for seafarers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  2. Manage tax and governmental reporting for Norwegian and non-Norwegian personnel, including annual reporting and project payroll concepts
  3. Stay up-to-date with relevant rules and regulations regarding employee tax reporting, and ensure compliance
  4. Update and reconcile the accounting payroll system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  5. Contribute to vessel cost control and financial planning
Requirements
  1. Education and/or experience in accounting, preferably from the maritime/offshore industry
  2. Experience in payroll, preferably from seafarers, with a strong understanding of payroll concepts and processes
  3. Experience with account reconciliations, annual reporting, and project payroll concepts
  4. Extensive knowledge of Norwegian and international tax law
