Job Title: Global Contract Manager

DNV is seeking a highly skilled Global Contract Manager to join our team in Norway. As a key member of our Global Contracting team, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our Global Contracting function.

About the Role:

The Global Contract Manager will be responsible for providing formal legal review and risk analysis of customer contracts, advising the bid manager/KAM and other levels of Energy Systems management during the decision-making process. You will ensure that contracts are aligned with the strategic earning ambitions for each customer/segment as well as the overall strategy expectations for Energy Systems with regards to growth, earnings, and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Energy Systems in reviewing, amending, and negotiating a variety of contracts, forms, or agreements with customers.
  • Support the contracting process and contract management.
  • Assess project risks, actively engage in the risk review process for projects, and collaborate with the business on strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Provide advice on legal and commercial contract-related matters as well as on matters pertaining to other functional responsibilities of the Global Contracting team.
  • Advocate and ensure compliance with DNV processes, policies, guidelines, and values.
  • Provide training on legal/contract management issues and risks within the functional scope of the Global Contracting team.
  • Take an active role in identifying potential process improvements and support the implementation of internal improvement projects.
  • Deliver a competent and high-quality product that demonstrates a customer-centric approach (both towards internal and external customers) and provides commercially focused advice and solutions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in law or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant work experience as a legal professional or contract manager is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Norwegian; additional skills in other languages are also welcomed.
  • Legal skills in a commercial/transactional context, including reviewing and drafting contracts.
  • Comfortable working as part of a virtual, global, and multi-cultural team.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex projects.
  • Possesses organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
  • Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of professionally managing confidential information.
