Logistics and Operations Management Role

Mitsui & Co. Norway AS is seeking an experienced Logistics and Operations Manager to lead our warehouse and stock yard operations.

This role requires a hands-on approach to logistics and operations management, with strong communication skills in Norwegian and English (written and spoken). The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and/or operations, preferably within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee incoming shipments (sea and road), including inspection, preservation, documentation, and storage.
  • Handle outgoing goods: prepare, pack, and dispatch as per customer requirements.
  • Manage backloads from customers, including inspection, repair, and restocking.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and ensure proper preservation of materials.
  • Maintain accurate traceability and documentation for all goods.

Operational Excellence:

  • Support and enforce HSE and QA/QC procedures.
  • Address non-conformance issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Assist in HSE reporting and KPI tracking for monthly management review.

Requirements:

  • Strong numeracy skills and an eye for detail.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and proactive approach to work.
