Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations of hardware networks in data centres, including equipment and server/network rack decommissioning. This position offers advancement opportunities toward supervisory or team leadership roles, with comprehensive training and mentorship provided.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Attend clients' sites on time, equipped with all necessary tools, documentation, and PPE.
  • Familiarity with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment is required.
  • Detailed knowledge of networking terminology, cabling infrastructure best practices, and methodologies is essential.
  • Experience working on medium to large-scale, complex project scopes with ambiguous details is preferred.
  • Proficiency with common network troubleshooting tools, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters, is a must.
  • Understanding of infrastructure technologies, such as routers, switches, and other network gear, is crucial.
  • Cabling server racks by patching and dressing fibre and copper cables, following established procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service levels by maintaining professional relationships with clients and colleagues at all times.
  • Following clients' health and safety, security, and operational requirements.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, including managers, planners, team leaders, and supervisors, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Completing daily checklists and providing reports on activities or tasks, including administrative duties.
  • Additional responsibilities may include regular physical inspection of IT Server/Network equipment, installation of parts, laying of additional fibre and copper cabling, and installing, testing, and troubleshooting fibre and copper cabling.
  • Decommissioning of IT equipment, including networks, servers, storage, backup devices, and connecting/disconnecting cables patched to equipment in data centres.

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail are essential.
  • Prior experience with structured cabling installation, including fibre and copper, is required.
  • A valid class B driving license with a good driving record is a must.
  • Basic experience with hand and power tools is expected.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Email is necessary.
  • Language proficiency: B1 level in English is required.
  • Proficiency in another European language would be advantageous.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is between €35,000 - €55,000 per annum, depending on experience, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses and continuing professional development. A competitive market salary, company pension plan (subject to local employment laws), sports & social club membership, and other benefits are offered.
