We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Senior Scientist in our Market Intelligence department at Hydro Energia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing medium and long-term prospecting studies of the Brazilian electric energy system.
You will work closely with our trading and commercial teams in Brazil, providing technical support for their decisions and contributing to regulatory discussions. Your expertise in long-term hourly Brazilian electricity price forecasting using the BID3 model will be crucial in driving business growth and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Developing medium and long-term prospecting studies of the Brazilian electric energy system
- Forecasting the expansion of electricity generation and transmission matrices in Brazil
- Long-term hourly Brazilian electricity price forecasting with BID3 model
- Understanding and modeling new technologies and regulations (batteries, green hydrogen, demand response, etc.)
- Development of ad-hoc studies and projects
- Presentations and debates on the developed studies
