Purchasing Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Head Energy AS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Source and procure high-quality indirect and OEM components or services from approved suppliers, ensuring compliance with corporate operating procedures and ethical codes.
  • Request for Quotations (RFQs): Evaluate and analyze RFQs to determine the best vendor for the company's needs.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate prices, quality, and delivery terms with suppliers, and assist in negotiating contracts to minimize liability.
  • Inventory Management: Execute stocking and delivery programs, and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
  • Supply Chain Management: Identify and qualify new suppliers, and assist in sourcing strategy development.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, engineering, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of professional experience in purchasing or materials management, with exposure to supply chain management and supplier quality systems.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Norwegian.
