
Senior Financial Reporting Specialist

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean AS is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager IFRS and Financial Reporting to join our Global Accounting and Financial Control team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the development and consistent application of IFRS policies across the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Group.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain IFRS accounting policies globally, including ownership and maintenance of policies, and providing training to A&FC teams as required.
- Implement new IFRS/financial reporting requirements.
- Perform accounting assessments and prepare accounting memos for relevant areas as required.
- Participate in transactions and M&A related activities with an IFRS/financial reporting perspective.
The role requires collaboration with the group controlling team to prepare group quarterly and annual financial statements, and co-operation with the sustainability team on relevant matters.
Requirements- Higher education, master's degree in accounting or similar qualified accountant (ACA, CPA or state authorized public accountant).
- Minimum 5 years of experience from a big 4 audit firm, and minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in total, including experience with financial reporting in global, listed companies.
- Specialist in IFRS and corporate reporting with a strong interest in the development of IFRS and corporate reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to stay updated and informed of new developments and requirements.
- Fluent in written and oral English.
