Job Description:

Commissioning System Responsible for Process

The Commissioning System Responsible for Process is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising Completion and Commissioning activities for designated systems related to the delivery and integration of the Hugin A platform. This role also assists in ensuring the Project Team delivers according to Aker BP's BMS and project mandate given by the Asset Management Team.

This position requires full mobility with base location at our onshore office in Oslo/Fornebu. Mobilization to construction sites prior to start of Commissioning activities is mandatory. Offshore work is also required for this position.

  • Contribute in the preparation phase by reviewing and verifying documentation and drawings relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
  • Estimate and plan commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plans.
  • Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
  • Participate in MC punch-outs and FATs at supplier sites.
  • Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
  • Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures.
  • Coordinate with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
  • Plan and call off ATS as and when required.
  • Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services.
  • Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
  • Plan and ensure first fills are available in timely fashion and perform first fills.
  • Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve Aker BP's expectations.
  • Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
  • Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
  • Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
  • Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc. or MSc in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience from NORSOK projects.
  • System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding.
  • Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills.
  • Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
  • Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal).
