Job Overview

In this innovative epidemiologist role, you will sit in the Center for Advanced Evidence Generation (CAEG) at IQVIA and report directly to the Chief Scientific Officer. CAEG works closely with scientific teams across IQVIA to drive innovation in patient health.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with IQVIA's scientific, technical, and product development teams to generate thought leadership and provide epidemiologic expertise on study design and interpretation.
  2. Provide expert consultation and guidance to internal project teams, other departments and divisions of IQVIA, and clients on observational study methods, statistical methods, and AI/ML.
  3. Support writing on protocols, manuscripts, and other study documents with independent, critical thinking.
  4. Contribute to department leadership within region (US, EMEA, or APAC) and globally as determined by business needs.

Requirements:

  1. PhD (or an equivalent degree) in epidemiology, data science or a closely related scientific discipline, with sound methodological training in epidemiology and 7 years' experience.
  2. Self-motivated and proven leadership skills.
  3. Strong writing skills and experience with publication in the literature, delivering scientific presentations, and cross-functional collaboration.
  4. Ability to provide scientific oversight and methodologic guidance on study protocols.
  5. Strong background and experience in rigorous study design and epidemiologic methods with experience and interest in AI/ML.
