The Role

• Plan and install new instruments and related analysis methods.
• Maintain and control instrument performance.
• Perform analyses/quality control.
• Participate in training of new employees/interns at the laboratory.
• Develop yourself within the field.
• Actively participate in improvements within the field.

Equinor has a large laboratory environment consisting of engineers and laboratory technicians with various backgrounds. The laboratories are organized under the same unit and have lab facilities at Kårstø, Sture/Kollsnes, Mongstad, Tjeldbergodden, and Hammerfest. In addition, we have collaborations with research laboratories in Trondheim and Porsgrunn, as well as laboratories related to offshore operations.

The laboratories perform quality control of all products delivered to the market, contribute to the development of new products, lab services in connection with follow-up of installations, and control of the environment.

About You

We are looking for someone with a higher education in chemistry. You should be able to work structured, systematically, and goal-oriented. Experience within laboratory work and/or instrumental analysis is preferred. Knowledge of working with accreditation, GLP, and validation work is an advantage. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required. Fluent Norwegian is a requirement.

This is a position located at Mongstad, which is about an hour's drive from Bergen. We have a flexible work schedule, and you can use our bus service from Bergen to Mongstad, t/r every day.
