About the JobThis Senior Electrical Assembly Technician role is a crucial part of our team, responsible for assembling electrical harnesses and sub-assemblies for integration into deep-sea remotely operated vehicles and manipulator arms.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of electrical assembly experience, proficiency in reading and understanding basic process assembly drawings, and bill of materials. They should also be skilled in using small hand tools, such as soldering irons, wire strippers, hand cutters, tweezers, and crimpers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality soldering on printed circuit boards and splice together 32AWG wires
- Crimp terminals onto 32AWG wires
- Follow standardized work practices
- Performs highly complex electrical assemblies from detailed blueprints and verbal/written instructions with minimal supervision
- Performs inspections of electrical assemblies to ensure it matches assembly prints and work instructions
- Periodically performs engineering electrical prototype builds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years of electrical assembly experience
- Ability to read and understand basic process assembly drawings, bill of materials
- Proficient in the use of small hand tools (soldering iron, wire strippers, hand cutters, tweezers, and crimpers)
- Ability to demonstrate soldering and de-soldering techniques
- Possess training in IPC A-610 and IPC A620 standards or similar standards preferred
The Davis manufacturing team follows a 9/80 alternative work schedule, with every two-week period consisting of a 5-workday week and then a 4-workday week with Friday off. The workday begins at 7:00AM and ends at 4:30PM for a 9-hour day.
