Job Overview

Nexans USA Inc. is seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Leader to lead the development and implementation of purchasing strategies that support business growth and efficiency. As part of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of purchasing professionals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic purchasing initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies that align with business objectives.
2. Lead a team of purchasing professionals responsible for sourcing and procurement activities across various projects.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
4. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
5. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to purchasing performance.
6. Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business, supply chain) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain with a focus on strategic purchasing initiatives.
• Proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams and driving business growth through strategic purchasing initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
