Role Summary
TGS is looking for a highly skilled Vessel Superintendent to lead the Fleet Management team in Oslo, Norway. This key position will be responsible for the overall management and operation of assigned vessels, including technical, maintenance, HSEQ, crewing, flag, class, and finance aspects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure high-quality service delivery, operational planning, and timely execution of vessel operations and non-production activities. As a seasoned leader, you will bring significant experience in maritime project management, leadership, and coordination. You will be responsible for implementing and executing maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the operational performance of assigned vessels, ensuring optimal technical and commercial outcomes.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize vessel performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technical, commercial, and logistical aspects of vessel operations.
  4. Lead assigned maritime technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to high standards.
  5. Ensure assigned vessels are equipped and prepared for SAR situations, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  6. Plan and execute repair schedules, port calls, and yard stays to maximize vessel availability and minimize costs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and teams, with a focus on quality, safety, and timeliness.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable recommendations.
