We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to support the deployment of our PEM electrolyser systems. In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting our systems in the field, supervising and managing necessary disciplines to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers, to deliver high-performance hydrogen production solutions. Effective communication and coordination with customers as Hystar's primary representative onsite is essential.
A strong understanding of electrical systems, automation, and process control is required. Experience with industrial automation, PLCs, and SCADA systems is a plus. Full flexibility to travel frequently and on short notice for fieldwork and customer support is mandatory.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related field) and at least 3 years of hands-on experience with commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial systems.
- Lead and execute commissioning activities for PEM electrolyser systems at customer sites.
- Develop and follow commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues that may arise during commissioning startup.
- Conduct system validation, performance testing, and optimization.
- Work with R&D and engineering teams to implement system improvements.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
- Ensure compliance with local and site-specific safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Train operators and maintenance personnel on system operation and best practices.
